Wayne Rooney’s wife wants to be Cilla

Coleen McLoughlin , Wayne Rooney’s fiancee , has a colossal and gaudy £200,000 ten-carat yellow diamond from Chopard - a 21st birthday present from her super-rich lover last month. The story of the Liverpool-born former shop girl might, however, be more accurately called ‘WAGS To Riches‘. Particularly as this week she signed a ten-year deal with a French perfumier - worth, say her aides, £10 million - to launch her own brand of “luxurious but affordable” fragrances and cosmetics. Next week, she will reveal that she has put pen to paper on an exclusive two-year contract with ITV that both she and the under-pressure network hope will turn her into the “new Cilla Black“. Her first foray into prime-time television will be a six-part series, provisionally titled Coleen’s Model Agency, which is being produced by Endemol, the makers of Big Brother.

Wayne Rooney looks for FA cup glory

Rooney’s got his premiership medal , now he’s going for the double with An FA Cup medal on Saturday. This could be a monumental battle with Chelsea because I don’t see them wanting to end up with just the Carling Cup .That would put Mourinho under pressure and could even cause his sacking. This one has extra time and penalties written all over it

Wayne Rooney set to win bet with Fergie

Sir Alex Ferguson could be out of pocket for the second time this season if Wayne Rooney can win his bet with the Reds boss.

“People have criticised me for not scoring enough, and it does bother me when I’m not hitting the back of the net,” Rooney admitted recently.

“I’m on a nice little run and hopefully I can keep it going and win the bet I’ve had with the manager,” he adds. “There’s not a lot of money involved, but it’s a nice little incentive. The most important thing is that the team keeps winning, but if I am scoring goals then I’m doing my bit.

“I’ve now got 23 for the season and I really think 25 is attainable for me. Hopefully I might even score more than that.”

Rooney will hope to take a step closer to that total when United travel to Italy this week to face AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza.
